Why do headaches have to hurt so hard?
Would vodka help? Sadly, I don't have any.
Would ice cream help? It'll help my soul, so I'm having some regardless: chocolate chip cookie dough.
I've had a question on my mind, and I'd like to share it with you.
The question originated from the concern about ice cream to cookie dough ratio. I said to myself that there should be twice as much cookie dough or half as much ice cream. Immediately it struck me that those might not result in the same ending ratio.
If I had to guess, I say the ratio, in terms of volume, is 8 to 1 (ice cream to cookie dough). Mathematically, it's 8/1 = 8.
Now, if we double the amount of dough, we'd have 8 to 2 or 8/2 = 4. This is a much more agreeable ratio.
What if we simply halved the ice cream? We'd get 4 to 1 or 4/1 = 4. In the end, they are the same, so I recommend simply doubling the dough.
However, I now have no ice cream or cookie dough in my bowl, giving us a ratio of 0/0 = !@#$Q#%∞
Bad things happen when you use 0 as the denominator.
