D&D & Cetera
Holy moly! All the things! Main story: God is good — even when I fret about all the stuff.
I don't know about you, but I like to worry about dollars. A recent event caused in me a panic, and then God resolved it all with a sort of playful, understanding hug.
In other news, everything! My first proper poetry book is almost out! CeCelia illustrated it! And heck! And wow! And very doge I feel.
Yabba yabba yabba. Dude. Imagine if words were connected directly to my brain.
I try to channel that in this blog, but I still got plenty of hangups. Also, sometimes I say crazy things in my brain. So, uh, yeah no.
In third news, my business is shifting. "Rudolph Strategies" has done a fine job, but I'm looking for less of a mouthful — or at least something a little catchier. Everybody knows "Kumon" — even though it's not a normal English word.
I have just been conferring with CeCelia, and I think I might have a new name!! I can't tell you about it yet because it's sneaky super secrets!
Just you wait. Just you wait! I can already envision a sexy tagline, and vague logo images are crackling in my brain!
Whew.
I had a stomach bug yesterday — and it's still lingering today. BLEH
I've joined a D&D group! Holy hecklesticks! I feel so cool already! I grew up in the computer game world — specifically, Baldur's Gate, which was fashioned largely based on D&D rules. I loved that game, and it's super exciting to imagine starting with an official group!
As any of my true gamer friends may have guessed, I am stuck at the character creation stage. I'm thinking chaotic neutral warlock, but I am totally clueless about which spells I want to start, path I want to pursue, or even what name I want to choose!
Don't even get me started on my character's backstory. I was thinking I'd be lazy and steal something from one of my preexisting characters. I was thinking I'd go with Kaz or Xeif. They've got some good, edgy, magical backgrounds.
But it feels cheap.
I think I'm gonna step aside and dive into a rando story drafto. So, uh, peace out for now.
I'm gonna write.
Go read it soon!
