Dailies and Weeklies

I created weekly quests!

Have you played any online video games? They typically have recurring objectives. I've been playing Destiny 2 obsessively, and it has quite an array of daily and weekly activities. I decided to create a little chart for my own life.

A few examples are reading a chapter of the Bible daily, writing 100 words daily, and exercising at least 3 times weekly. I'm off to a great start on the whole. I've done far too little writing though! And the quota is already so low.

But that's what happens when ya get thrown off track.

Dang, son. I was thrown off track quite a bit. Granted, I was already off a track or two, but then there were more tracks!

Oi.

My computer is so slow! I'm thinking about getting a new one. A new-new one. This guy is 2011 refurbished. The seller was kinda deceptive; he listed it as a newer model — but that was software and not hardware.

I guess it's my fault for not being more thorough.

Whatever the case was, the current situation leaves me with an excruciatingly slow computer.

In other news, I exercised yesterday! I've become a veritable slug. I still wouldn't fight me, but I'd definitely steal something from me because I can't run very fast for very long.

Speaking of guns! I recently went to a firing range! It was the first time! I was so proud! The dear Justin Hetrick took me and a few other friends. I fired a .22 and a 9 mm. At 5 and 7 yards, I was quite accurate with the .22. The 9 mm had a little recoil, and I — being as green as I was — pulled down and left every time.

I saved my targets. The .22 targets had all the holes grouped together near the center. The 9 mm targets all trailed to the bottom left.

It was super cool though! I was so nervous at first! And then I was just fascinated. My brain was reeling with the idea that real people use those thingies in real situations.

Fascinating!

I still chew my fingernails. I have a fair amount of residual stress. I'm letting it go slowly.

I need more bacon. Bacon and flowers. I like flowers! And balloons. And origami. I wish somebody would make an origami for me! And poems: I like poems, the rhyming ones. But ya gotta actually try, not just footle about with overused phrases.

I wrote two! I already wrote two this month! They were sad ones — but necessary. April's poem was very nice.

Nutella! I'm eatin' some.

Thanks for visiting.
