I Want Both
PARADOXES
They happen. Irony too. I'm so nervous about irony though! Apparently, it has some precise definition, and I'm half-sure I always misuse it. For example, the song "Ironic" by Alanis Morisette is not ironic. "Rain on your wedding day" etc. are just unfortunate. Irony is something special that I don't understand.
I also struggle with the words couth and uncouth. I know what they mean, but they always feel foreign. There are so many other words that should seem foreign — but whatevs.
In other news, there's too much other news! Too much. Way too much. That's why I gotta write all the books: it's just so bloody cathartic. CATHARTIC.
I could do it. I could be proper crazy. I kinda fake it both so that I can become it more and also so that I don't have it. Did you see "What About Bob"?
In the movie, Bob Wiley — a psychiatric patient with lots of issues — fakes cardiac arrest and a violent form of Tourette's. He says to his psychiatrist,
But, before I am proper crazy, I must be tired. I am tired, and, therefore, it must precede.
