Images and Sounds
Freakin' awesome! My little brother gave me all the good input for stuff and things, and Michael the Traveler is going to be awesome now! I mean, I like to think he's already awesome, but I'm looking forward to giving him visuals and sound effects.
I was originally going to do a sort of story time with Nathan thing: I'd be in a high-backed chair next to a shelf of books or a fireplace. I might have a cup of tea at my side. I'd have taped my story inside some book to make it look as though it were an old tome. After Sean's input, I realize I (and others) would get really bored of my face. Plus, it'd be all the effort to have it look perfect and yadda yadda yadda.
Now! Now, it's going to be a sort of inviting transition through images and sounds. Totally-otally looking forward to it. What's even extra exciting is I will be one step closer to seeing what I see in my mind. Did that make sense?
Let me try: Michael's story has largely been an exercise in scenery. Describing elaborate visuals has been one of my higher priorities. I've stumbled upon some beautiful (and terrible) scenes as I've been exploring Michael's travels. I wish I could paint better; I may have to learn how to draw properly at least. In any case, beautiful scenes have arisen, and I wish to share them. The words obviously take the reader close, but I think adding some real visuals — if I manage it well enough — will draw the viewer that much closer.
A big plus to all this is that I won't have to do green-screening, worry about lighting, hassle with my backdrop, etc. Shoot. I still need lighting for my education videos, but we'll get there. Baby steps.
HOLY MOLY
Don't get me started. Really really don't.
On that note, let us see what adventures burst forth.
