How Can I Thank You?!

I tried to write a poem last night. It felt forced. I want to fear that my poetry soul has died or fallen asleep, but I think I was just pushing too hard for a certain theme. Usually, the way it works is that I feel an internal pressure, the need to write a poem, so I set myself to it. I'll pick some random phrase that pops into my head, and the poem usually finds itself.

I wanted to write a thankful poem, but I didn't know how to grasp it besides just saying "thank you!"

Earlier in the week, I spontaneously asked my pastor if he knew of any well-lit place where I could record tutorial or literature videos. He said the church has plenty of nice spaces. He ended up taking me on a tour of the church grounds. I was thankful! I was overwhelmed! I really wasn't sure what to say! I kept asking him, "Really?!" "Are you serious?!" "Are you sure?!" "How can I thank you?!"

He said, "Make good videos!"

That sounds like something God would say: "God, how can I thank you for giving me this good thing?!"

"Do something good with it!"

Friends are celebrating my birthday with me tomorrow. How can I thank them properly for all that they have been and done in my life? Shall I merely do something good? Perhaps.

I still want to write an epic poem! For them. For me. For fun. I can always read some golden oldies; it just seemed like a cool idea to have a fresh one.

We'll see what God has in store for me. I'm gonna try my hand at another one.

Pip pip, cheerio!

I love it! It seems impossible to thank God enough. What can we possibly do for Him when He does everything for us?! It is the parable of the talents. He just wants to look at us with love and say "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
